Ch.5- Developing a global vision

 Van's is an international name around the world and their global vision is to keep it that way. They do so by sponsoring celebrities and action sports athletes. Since these athletes and celebrities are famous around the world they will be able to influence people (specifically preteens and teenagers) around the globe into buying vans shoes and being a part of the vans culture. Vans also continue to host action sports contests around the world that exposes more people to these sports and to vans shoes as well.

Since the mid-1990s, manufacturing has taken place primarily in Mexico and South Korea. In addition to its 150 retail outlets, Vans sells its products at department and specialty stores such as Nordstrom’s, Sears, JC Penney, and Footlocker, as well as through independent distributors in nearly 50 countries.
